Sunbelt Investment Holdings, Inc. is planning to redevelop Sports Arena Plaza, an approximately 40-acre project, which is anchored by Target, Home Depot, Ralphs and Ross. Sunbelt is planning to demise the building area which Mervyn's will be vacating. It is likely that Target will take a portion of the Mervyn's building area. However, the focus is three building areas: the 5,000 square foot freestanding pad; the 6,750 square foot freestanding pad; and the 5,430 square foot shop building on the west side of Ralphs. Tenants for these three building areas could range from 1,000 to 7,000 square feet in size and could include retailers, quick-service food uses and restaurants which may need to be in the Sports Arena/Point Loma trade area.
